The Simple Wild is the kind of book that you will be thinking about all the time… when your driving to meet your friend for coffee and your wondering how can I talk myself out of it, so I can go back to finish reading The Simple Wild at home. It will consume you body and soul, and I’m not sorry about it cause we all know it’s one of the best feelings to have. To love something so much that you don’t want to think about anything else. This novel is a masterpiece in every way, I’m so thankfully that I waited as long as I did to read it as I can’t wait to get my hands on the sequel that is being published tomorrow! This novel is what romance reads spend all their time looking for, it’s just everything! I think that everyone should go get this and add it to your TBR pile and put that baby at the top. While your out getting this one, while don’t you pick up the sequel as you know you will need to know what will happen to Calla and Jonah.
“Calla Fletcher wasn’t even two when her mother took her and fled Alaska, unable to handle the isolation of the extreme, rural lifestyle, leaving behind Calla’s father, Wren Fletcher, in the process. Calla never looked back, and at twenty-six, a busy life in Toronto is all she knows. But when Calla learns that Wren’s day may be numbered, she knows that it’s time to make the long trip back to the remote frontier town of her birth to attempt to fix their estranged relationship.”
“She braves the roaming wildlife, the odd daylight hours, the exorbitant prices, and even the occasional-dear God- outhouse, all for the chance to connect with her father: a man who, despite his many faults, she can’t help but care for. While she struggles to adjust to this rugged new environment, Jonah – the unkempt, obnoxious Alaskan pilot who helps keep her father’s charter plane company operational – can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. And he’s clearly waiting with one hand on the throttle to fly this city girl back to where she belongs, convinced that she’s too pampered to handle the wild.”
“Jonah is probably right, but Calla is determined to prove him wrong. As time passes, she unexpectedly finds herself forming a bond with the burly pilot. As his undercurrent of disapproval dwindles, it’s replaced by friendship – or perhaps something deeper? But Calla is not in Alaska to stay and Jonah will never leave. It would be foolish of her to kindle a romance, to take the same path her parents tried, and failed at, years ago. It’s a simple truth that turns out to be not so simple after all.”

While I was reading this book, I kept on thinking how lovely it would be to go visit Alaska and hopefully meet my Jonah… You will fall in love with Jonah in just a couple of short chapters and you will NEED to know what will happen to his relationships with Calla and Alaska. K.A. Tucker is a magical writer, after the first chapter I was hooked. Her writing is beautiful, the plot is wonderfully paced and the characters are deep and complex. If you have a heartbeat this book is a must read. I can’t put into words how in love I am with K.A. Tuckers writing and the characters in this novel, you just have to read it and fall in love with Calla and Jonah.
5 out of 5 stars! Everyone really needs to read this beautiful book.
Also, it’s nice to see that you can learn from others mistakes.
Thank you to K.A. Tucker for this wonderful story, I can’t wait to see what Wild at Heart will have in store for me. I have to get my hands on that beautiful cover!

I absolutely adored this book and I’m so glad that Tucker has released Wild At Heart early! I just bought my copy today and I’m SO EXCITED but also really nervous to read what happens next in Jonah and Calla’s story. I absolutely loved Jonah and lol I had the same thoughts too about going to Alaska and finding my own Jonah 🤣 Great review! I hope you enjoy the sequel as much as the first!
